Natasha FINALLY got her instruction packet after I was told two weeks ago that her interview would be on Nov 13th. That was confirmed with the packet 3. However, nowhere does it say to mail any DS-230 or DS-156 to the embassy. In fact it says to bring everything with her to the embassy. I'm confused did sending anything to them change? Are they getting more efficent? It seems like they automatically set an interview date without having to receive anything from packet 3. Not even a confimation saying she was ready? Am I right to assume she needs nothing but the medical and to show up for the interview? She has the appointment letter.

This is all per regular procedure with Moscow. She needs all the documents as listed on the Embassy website (take notice of the special DS-156K and the I-134 notarization requirement). She will bring all to the interview, there is no mailing here.

I thought the DS-156K Doesn't get signed until the interview? How can you you notarize this w/out a signature?

The I-134 must be notarized but it may not be needed at the interview but may be requested. Read the Embassy guidelines at: Moscow Embassy K-1 requirements

As you can see from this website, the DS-156K is a form in Russian and must be filled out in Russian (and yes signed at the Embassy). From the website is the only place, besides the form she received in her packet, that you can find the Russian version.

Gottcha, I thought you were saying that the 156k has to be notarized as well. Yes, we completed the Russian version of the 156k. And I got the I-134 notarized.

Isn't your interview coming up soon baron 555?
