Hi taiwanlover.. we got our NOA1 october 2nd but we havent get our noa2.. However, i always tell my fiancee that we will be able to get our noa2 very soon.. All of us can relate how hard it is to be so far away from your fiancee"love"... While we are waiting for the noa2, lets just spend quality time with our family.. Like my mom,she doesnt even want to look at the calendar coz her baby will leave her soon..heheh... But my mom is so happy and supportive for me as i found the love of my life .

Let's lift up everything in God's hands and hope for the best with our visa journey..

GOD BLESS TO US OCTOBERIANS!!!!! :-)

Yes, I have been spending a lot of quality time with family, too, and it's been wonderful. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only early October filer who hasn't gotten an NOA2, but I do hope you receive yours very soon! Thanks for your words of encouragement. Good luck everyone!

UGH! :( That is outrageous!! You can't have him be your "carry on" like so many people do? I'm sure you have checked it out, I'm just trying to think of anything. I would be devastated if I had to give up one of my kitties. They are very much my babies. I'm so sorry!

It is very stressful. John and I had such a mixed visit over Christmas - a mix of good and bad and not much down time for ourselves. I'm just ready to be with him, in each others arms, wake up next to him every morning. I understand the "why" of this whole process, it just doesn't make it any easier.

HUGS to you!

God Jessica, that's horrible... would it change your situation if someone in Belfast could care for your cat for a few weeks, or a month maybe? I know some people in the area, maybe someone could take your cat in while you raise funds. I'd just hate to see you lose a pet over money.

Oh no! That's so sad. I'm sorry. Maybe you can have a cat-loving friend take care of him until you can save up money to get him and bring him over? When I was in New Zealand for a year, I had to leave my kitty behind, and it was rough. I hope, at the very least, you find a home for him in which he'll be happy and loved.

Moving pets is important. They are devoted to their owners often (especially a cat or dog). My fiance's father keeps saying my fiance' needs to take the cat that has lived at my in-laws house for over 15 years and NOT with my fiance'. My fiance' loves the cat but thinks such a dramatic change of living space (the country to the city) wouldn't do well for the elderly cat. I hope you are all able to get your pets where they will be loved.

Hey all!

I've already read the FAQ's and such, but I'm hoping to get some advice from people with personal experience... My fiance and I met and got engaged while working with a missionary organization in Australia. We left in December and he came to meet my family the week before Christmas (a great time by the way!). I'm going to try to visit him in Oregon so I can meet his friends and family and try to get some wedding stuff figured out. The only thing is that I still don't have a job, and I'm just living with my parents until the visa is approved. Sooo, I don't really have any 'good' evidence that I'll be coming back to Canada. I thought the fact that we're already doing it the legal way by applying for the visa would be good enough, but the fact that it's up to whatever border patrol officer I happen to get makes me a bit uneasy.

Guess I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice on what other pieces of evidence I could provide... I appreciate anything you can offer!!!

hey I got my noa1 oct 13th and no NOA2. I'm guessing everything will be fine and I just need to be patient. hang in there guys! I guess just staying positive is the only option!

I have a question about a tourist visa a friend of my fiance's is applying for. he has to put where he will be staying in the US (that would be with me) and I was wondering if anyone thought it would be really weird to put my name on another visa. doesn't it make sense that a friend of his (and mine) would visit during that time anyway? or does that just look weird to them that I am on two visas one of which is my fiance and another just a visiting tourist b2 visa.

also...about the paperwork and the NOA2...how long has it taken some of you to gather all the information? I'm just getting all nervous about how long it will take the rest of the information to go through.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! hopefully I get a little touch soon...
