Generally speaking - under national healthcare, the only time the kid would be "taken away" from a parent (read: when social services would get involved) is if the doctors examining the child found evidence of some sort of abuse.

The bureaucracy as such, doesn't get involved at all in that respect.

They believe such things not because there is any evidence that it's true, but because they have a 'gut instinct' for what such a plan would be like even without knowing any facts. You can't really make an argument that will convince this constituency of anything, except that government is an unnecessary evil so why bother?

I'd suggest deporting the small government freaks to Somalia, but seeing all those black people would make them piss their pants. I guess we're stuck with them.
