Citizenship Interview - document question

Hubby has his interview for naturalization on Oct 28 in Memphis. I have somehow lost my original birth certificate. I did order another one today as I just realized I no longer have the original, but it will take 4-8 weeks to get it.

My question is - if he takes a copy (with receipt from state showing I ordered another) is it likely he will run into trouble since he doesnt have my original? We have the original wedding license etc. My birth cert. is the only issue.

Thank in advance!

It shouldn't be a problem, however, bring what you have and if you have a passport he can also show that. Basically they would just want to examine an original document proving your US citizenship. Your birth certificate or your passport will do that. I know that at my interview they didn't ask to see any of the originals of the documents I had submitted, even though I had them with me.
