I sent out our I-129f Packet last Wednesday and I recieved the NOA-1 hardcopy in the mail exactly one week later, which is making us very happy about starting the process officially.

We signed up for the case update online, and noticed that the case had today's date on it. Is this is what is considered to be a 'touch'?

We are hoping for a smooth journey through the process, it has started out well.

Some people like to think of it as a touch, but it is really more like the date they put you in the computer.

Anyway, touches don't really matter unless you have been waiting a really long time (and have starting calling, getting representatives involved etc.). Most people--me included--are approved without any touches at all.

Congratulations, and yes when the case status date changes that means you case has had something done to it "a touch". Albeit maybe nothing more than being moved from one place to the other but still something. :D
