Is I-693 needed for AOS Interview when it was not in my I-485 package?

For my AOS interview on Oct 13, one of the requirements is to submit the medical exam report I-693 (as well as other docs I have submitted with the AOS package..) However, in my submitted package I only submitted the DS-3025 from the Phils in place of the I-693. Do I need to get an I-693 now just for the interview???

You don't need the I-693 since our medical from the Philippines is valid for 12 mos. However, if you didn't include the I-693a, which is the supplement, you may want to have it handy on your interview day since they might ask for it.

You need to have that I-163, meaning you need to go to the civil surgeon and the doctor will give you a sealed envelop to be submitted during your interview.

Don't forget to have the papers from the local health center as the doctor will have to include it in that sealed envelop.

You should get I-693. The I-693 is the new process.

if they even have an interview. some have been approved for aos without the i-693a, but they'll have to wait and see if they get a rfe for it. if they do have an interview, i agree they should have the i-693a ready just in case.

Actually, that sealed envelope consists of the transcribed vaccination records -- the one from St. Lukes and if you had some done here in the US... And it is not called I-963... it is I-963a, which is the supplemental page to I-693. Like I said, since our medical that we did at St. Lukes is valid for 12 mos., the I-693 is not needed, just the I-693a.

Mae,

The I-693a is obselete. The list of documents needed specifically ask for I-693 not I-693a.

OP,

You received a letter indicating the list of documents needed for the interview. The list is from USCIS. Just comply on the requirements.

If it ask for I-693, just do it.

If you read her timeline, she had done a sputum test in a health center here, so the health center give her a sputum test result and that has to be shown to civil surgeon and be included on that sealed envelop.

Hello everyone! Thank you for all the replies. Just to update y'all on what happened regarding this question I posted.

I decided not to get the I-693 anymore. Well I did try to get one, but since I was too busy with our church wedding ceremony preparations, I was a little too late to set an appointment. I set an after-the-interview appointment just in case they still require me to submit it even after the interview. But since I saw that the appointment letter stated that I-693 is an interview requirement UNLESS ALREADY SUBMITTED (meaning submitted with the AOS package), I figured that the DS 3025 should work fine because I wasn't issued an RFE regarding that.

Well anyway, it was a bit of a gamble but it all worked out fine. Our interviewer (a strict lady) just asked for my medical exam report and I handed the DS-3025. After more rigorous questions validating our marital relationship, she approved the AOS. So we're good.. Happily married & with a little one on the way..

Thanks for all the advice! More power to everyone!
