:secret: Ok. So my status is: "On July 11 the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person whom issued." So today I called the NCSC to find out what this means and I was told I was approved. Then I was put on hold and transferred to another person who told me the first person was wrong....I am not approved. I then asked what is the meaning of my status and was told they were going to mail me an RFE but then they decided not to and that is what changed my status. (they already had my RFE since July 3). I hope someone, anyone, gets approved soon. The last time I was touched was July 12.

This is so odd. THe wording of the update indicates an approval and not a hesitation in sending you an RFE (with the same content perhaps - it's happened, some people even got like, 3 of them).

Good luck. Hopefully the second person you talked to was wrong and you got approved. Fingers crossed for you.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

I too hope it is an approval, however from everything I have seen I have a feeling that the second person is right. It makes more sense than the the first as why would they send out that email like that when they are still also sending out the normal approvals.

Again I hope it is an approval as wouldnt begrudge anybody that, just didnt make sense the way they worded it is all.

I'm going to give it a few more days to see what happens. Anyways I don't have time to be on hold when I am at work. ;)

I think we need to compile a list of cryptic, bizarre and less than helpful emails that folks have been receiving, like this one and the one that references 'dates listed below' without any dates 'listed below' and send them to our Congressional delegations as further evidence of the incompetence of USCIS. If an agency cannot put out something simple like an email communication, is evidence of systematic incompetence. Why bother with the work of sending a correspondance if it does not communicate anything?

It is astounding how no one can properly interpret these communications. :reading::wacko:

March 9 - filed I-129F to Nebraska

March 15 - NOA#1

June 1 - transferred to CSC

July 11 - IMBRA RFE back with CSC

August 3 - NOA#2

August 6 - touched

Oh I agree with you 100% I mentioned this one to my senator's office but I think printing them out and sending them off in a packet is a great idea!

The problem with sending an email to CA is there is only one person who answers them (McClellan) and let's just say he does exactly have a good command of the english language either. No doubt he will email back next week with "I cannot say the status because I don't work in that division - please wait 45 days!"

Barry, I would CALL but it seems you're feeling patient (I'm not) so maybe you'll get something in the mail today.

You mean call again? I wouldn't believe anything they said anyway, they are lost! One girl says I'm approved and 20 minutes later another tells me I'm not. They have told others with the same status that they are approved. Should I believe it is true? My hope is that I am basically approved and they only have to do something small for it to be official since the last person I talked to said I wasn't approved. I will call Wednesday and ask what they mailed me if we still don't know anything. By then maybe the others will have gotten something in the mail.

Right - I meant call again. Demand to speak to a person with a brain - a supervisor, a manager - whatever. Tell them that they have given you unclear and conflicting information. Read them the email and ask them if they can translate it into English. Clearly they can't - so I would demand to speak to someone who can. Really, this is bullsh*t and there is no reason for you to be told different answers let alone get this inane email in the first place. These people are stupid beyond belief - if you don't push them, I doubt you'll get answers anytime soon. Just my 2 cents - I have ZERO patience at this point and I'm pissed off on your behalf.

Barry2005,

If you do not get clarification on the phone, wait a few days for a "paper" approval, that is irrefutable evidence.

If that does not happen, call again and ask for a supervisor, don't remain on the line with the "front line people", that is a waste of your time, and always produces BS. You can drill down for answers with perseverance!!!! Go for it!!!! Good luck Barry2005.

VJ Member kk6pr got the same stutus message/change as I did on July 8 but did not receive anything by mail yet either. Hasn't it been enough time for something to come by mail? I think he/she was due to get it already since they live in California.

Barry - based on your timeline this certainly should mean approval. VSC sends out a normal email i.e. "This case has been approved. On XXX, 2006, an approval notice was mailed. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address" which implies that it can take up to 30 days for something to be received in the mail. Also, based on the "RFE was mailed June 23" and the fact that I got it on July 11, I believe they don't mail this in a timely manner. That said, I would still call again. . .
