“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

You need to adjust your status from K-1 to a permanent resident. The process is called AOS.

The following link will greatly help you.

Hello,

I'm currently trying to process my I-485 application. I have a few queries:

a. I'm trying to find my NOA2 from my files, and I just can't find it. I don't know if the consul in Manila took it when he was going through my files during my interview. Is there a way I can request for this again?

b. In answering the questions for my I-485, I got here using a K1 visa, and we have already gotten married. As of the moment what is my current USCIS status?

c. Where do I find my non-immigrant visa number? I'm looking at my visa and there are just so many series of numbers stamped on it, I don't want to make a mistake.

Thanks so much,

tooty :)

hello,

I'm currently filling out the forms necessary for the entire I-485 package. And I noticed that in the tips, it mentioned that I should submit 4 copies of the G-325a. I read the instrcutions and it did not say to print 4 copies. I am wondering if the other forms suchs as (I-131, I-765, I-184, & I-485) should be printed in numerous copies as well?

thanks so much,

A) Yes you can try to get another one but HOPEFULLY you made copies because that is all you need to send with your AOS package, if you lost it you can request another at a cost of $300+ dollars.

B) Look at this example form for help with filling out the I-485

http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-485.pdf

The answer to your questions is: USCIS status? K-1 Visa Holder

C) Look here for location of your non-immigrant visa number:

:guides: and Use the Example Forms and you will get 99% done and have very few questions...

The G-325a was changed in July and used to be a 4 copy form, now they say it is just 1...only problem is the explanation of the form on the site still refers to 4 pages and the instructions say 1...so FOR SAFETY, VJ and many on here are saying DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and include 4 until it is verified to save a POSSIBLE RFE and a few weeks delay in your processing time.

The other forms (I-131, I-485 and I-765 only need to be submiitted with 1 copy) BE SURE TO MAKE COPIES OF EVERYTHING 4 yourself.
