The passport office PCC is about 2.5 months old, do we need to obtain most recent copy? Does it expires? For visa interview in mumbai,india. Thanks.

These are generally good for 6 months. But someone told me they were sure that for Visa Applicants, they are valid for up to one full year.

I think every country has a certain procedures about this PCC, there's one guy here in Saudi and he is from Pakistan. When he obtained the PCC here in Saudi, there is no expiration date, now he is having a problem with NVC because of this.

In the Philippines, PCC expires after 6 months from the date od issuance.

this is directly from the us consulate website in mumbai:

All police certificates are considered to be valid for one year from the date of issuance and must be valid on the day the your visa is issued.

there is also a chart that shows what pcc you need, ie when did you get your passport.

Actually I checked my copy of Packet 4 that I received last year from the Embassy. It states the PCC is valid for one full year! You're doing good! No worries!
