Thank you for the response. However, if their individual income is on a joint tax return, what then? Do I fill out an I-134 for each of them using the same tax return on both forms?

No, the form is for one person to be a sponsor. Use the person's individual income information to complete the form, meaning use their w-2's or 1099's to complete what THEY made. You can only use 1 co-sponsor they will not take mom and dad's or joanna and steve's combined income to qualify.
