My wife's english is not so great. Does she need a translator with her for the interview? Or can I translate for her?

January 2nd, 2009 - entered US on K1 Visa

January 10th, 2009 - Married in LA

February 12, 2009 - applied for I-485 AOS through lawyer

February 19,2009 - NOA1 received for I-765 & I-485

July 29, 2009 - get infopass appt. and ask about status of applications since nothing has happened. Told EAD had been approved April, 4,2009, but never received. Unclear what happened to it.

August 3, 2009 - Biometrics letter received for both EAD and AOS

August 13, 2009 - Biometrics appt. USCIS.gov "touched" EAD, card to be sent out. Finally something!

August 21, 2009 - EAD received & approved

September 4, 2009 - Interview date received

October 6, 2009 - AOS interview in Los Angeles, CA. Finally!

October 6, 2009 - APPROVED!!!!

July 15, 2011 - Applied to remove Conditions I-751

July 21, 2011 - Received NOA1

August 16, 2011 - Biometrics Appt. 12:00p.m. (received 7/28/11)

October 19, 2011 - E-mail approval/"card production ordered" received!!!

I had a same question cause my husband's English is not so good, and I confirmed with USCIS and they say that yes you will need a translator and it cannot be you because you are part of that interview also. So you can invite anyone to be her translator, it doesn't have to certified, it can be your brother, sister, mother, uncle, aunt, etc.

7-31-2008 NOA1

12-8-2008 checked case status online.. APPROVED!!!

12-12-2008 received hard copy NOA2 !!!!!

12-17-2008 received NVC Case # !!!!!

1-5-2009 received Packet 3!!!!!

1-22-2009 Interview Date!!!!! Please pray for us!

2-5-2009 US here we come :)

4-19-2009 Wedding Day!!!

6-4-2009 AOS Filed!!!

6-25-2009 Fingerprints appt!!!

7-9-2009 email: "EAD card production ordered"

Wow I didn't know that. I was planning on translating for my wife. Better get a translator.

07/08/2009: issued 221(g) due to proof of single status document missing a stamp
07/20/2009: Resubmitted document with missing stamp. Accepted
07/23/2009: Visa issued

09/25/2009: Case Transfered to CSC
10/13/2009 Biometrics
10/26/2009: Received EAD card
