Hi there.

My child is scheduled for an interview on Oct. 1, 2009.

Anyone here who processed same visa? Kindly send me list of documents that I need to send to her for her interview.

I have some documents I will send her next week as follows;

DS-156 - 2 copies

DS-157 - 2 copies ( I learned that some from here they just filled out and printed, then brought to the bank for payment and validation )

I-134 - affidavit with necessary supporting documents

Certified copy of Marriage contract

Copy of my green card

NOA2 of I129F filed before

Anything else that I am missing?

Thanks in advance!

We just did a K-2 to follow in June and had no problems and the AOS went really well also. We got the "Welcome Letter" yesterday, no interview. We needed only 1 copy of the DS-157, but that is consulate specific. You also need...

1, Birth certificate with translation

2. Military papers (if any) We had to show our son registered for military service in Ukraine and has a student deferrment, translated

3. Police certificate and translation if over age 16 (age can be consulate specific, some are younger)

4. Medical exam

5, visa fee paid

6. For Kiev I had to write an "acceptance" letter, accepting him and saying I would be responsible for him, this may be consulate specific

7. Passport or travel document OR listed in your passport (as appropriate)

8. Letter from absent parent allowing the child to relocate permanently to the US OR court order of sole custody OR death certificate of father (as apporpriate, translated) IF the child is under the age for such. The cut-off for this in Ukraine is age 16, so we did not need it, but other consulates vary, usually up to age 18, maximum. Our K-2 to follow son is age 18.

I think that is all.
