It took only 6 months from the time that we first filed for the K1 Visa, until I recieved it. I crossed the border July 12th and went inside to hand them all my paperwork, etc. They kept a bunch of papers to send them off to the next destination. Now we're married and we're filing for "Permanent Residency". I'm looking like crazy for my medical exam papers and immunization record. I can't find them! Is it possible that this was one of the things they forwarded at the border? Please help!

You should have the medical record with you. They never took mine at the POE.

02/23/2017 - sent NVC packets via USPS Priority Mail (note: I have to wait for my mom's police certificate, so there was a bit of a delay before I can send the package)

02/27/2017 - packets received at 11:30 am signed by N Visa Center

03/01/2017 - Scan Date

05/06/2017 - Case Completed

05/12/2017 - NVC scheduled the interview!

06/02/2017 - Medical (06/14 to 06/15 - Dad's Sputum Test)

06/16/2017 - Mom's Interview Date (Approved!)

Mine medical results were in envelope, which they took at POE... I actually never saw it. Thought, my physician gave me copy of immunization record sheet back when I was having my medical. I did submit copy of vaccination record for my AOS.

Medical exam records were in the envelope. They should've taken them at the POE. You should have a copy of your immunization record that should have been given to you by the panel physicians office following the visa medical (DS3025), which you will need for AOS.

05/12/2007 - NOA1 received by snail mail after a loooong wait

05/14/2007 - Sent I-129F for K3 to Chicago Lockbox via USPS Express Mail

10/22/2007 - I129F APPROVED (161 days), I130 APPROVED (188 days)

11/08/2007 - I129F received at NVC, embassy case number generated.

11/13/2007 - I129F forwarded to embassy.

11/18/2007 - 129F petition received at embassy

01/09/2008 - finally, DOS gives me the interview date, April 16, 2007 (ouch)

01/23/2008 - never got packet 4, emailed embassy

04/11/2008 - picked up packet 4, did medical

04/16/2008 - interview date- APPROVED!!!!!

04/18/2008 - both of us are home at last, POE JFK!

05/21/2008 - sent AOS and EAD

05/27/2008 - received NOA1 for AOS and for EAD

06/02/2008 - received Biometrics appt letter

06/19/2008 - Biometrics appointment scheduled - DONE

06/19/2008 - both AOS and EAD touched because of biometrics

07/29/2008 - EAD approved.

05/13/2009 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!/ Card production ordered email

05/18/2009 - Welcome Letter received

06/12/2009 - Second card production ordered email

06/19/2009 - Approval notice send email

06/22/2009 - Green Card received

04/09/2012 - Applied for Citizenship by Express Mailing N400 to NBC

04/10/2012 - N400 received by USCIS

06/23/2012 - Biometrics appointment

07/27/2012 - Appointment scheduled for N400 interview

09/05/2012 - Interview passed, oath ceremony completed, and Naturalization certificate received.

It depends on where your SO is from. Mine never got copies of any medical papers. You can try to contact the doctor who did the exam to see if you can get a copy. We tried, but the doc there told us he couldn't give us anything. It's probably different in other countries, though.

If you can't get a copy, you'll probably have to contact a Civil Surgeon here and get new ones. I can't remember now if it's JUST the vaccines that have to be done by a Civil Surgeon - I think we were able to get the physical done by a 'regular' doctor. It sucks - we had to do it. He was never given the vaccine info, and USCIS 'lost' our medical. It really bugged me - they KNEW he had the exam and vaccines, or he never would've been allowed to come here.
