Why does SLEC take the passport?

St Lukes always takes the passport and sends it, along wiht the medical result to the US Embassy.

Sorry, the OP should have made several copies of the passport before giving it up at St Lukes. The passport number can be added to the forms at the interview.

Hi uniquecouple!

Rick just talked to NVC. Not only do we have a case number, the package was already forwarded to the US Embassy Manila. We don't even have our NOA2 yet...I thought that was surreal! lol

Please help, I just want to know how soon I can schedule the interview and the medical after we receive the notice (or instructions) from the Embassy. Any idea what the earliest possible dates are? How did you schedule yours?

hello marriedtomrg, aint that great that you've got a case# without NOA2? lol. sounds peculiar to me but i guess it doesn't matter if you did not get 1 as long as you have the case number thats all that matter. NVC sent me the instruction packet before but i never got it. lol.

you can schedule the interview days after embassy received your file even without the letter yet that they sends you. however you might want to bring the appointment letter from the embassy to do your medical but letter from NVC with your case# will be fine as well. in this case, you can do your medical now....i would suggest earlier the better...

good luck!
