To all, and to verify, she did not get shots in her country, only tested for all of the diseases, viruses, etc. This she had to do before she could come. We had to make and appointment at an approved doctor in Ukraine, wait, get tested, results, so on. So I was thinking that since she was "ok'd" that there should be no reason for more now. It's no problem. We'll get it handled with the fury. So, if anyone has advice, much obliged, but any nay saying or debate of who or what, no thanks.

Their is NO vaccination requirement for a K-1 visa. Yes, she was OK'd because she passed the examination and the vaccination requirement which is NONE for a K-1. The vaccination requirement is for an immigrant visa and/or greencard. It is at that time you must provide evidence of the fulfillment of the requirement.

PS If you don't like what is posted here, then don't read it and move on to the next one

Do you work for the gov? Yes, they do require certain shots. Not doubting what you know and/or have experienced, but according to our meeting with our appointed officer, they require all of the shots/vaccines that I have mentioned and they shall require proof of such. Thanks for your time but you are not all knowing so......yea. Peace be with you, Praise be to Allah.

I will provide the information one more time and I have never said anything to the contrary... An immigrant visa and a green card holder do have a vaccination requirement. However, a K-1 visa does not have a vaccination requirement. This is confirmed by information provided by the Department of State. Some consulates do not understand this and will require a K-1 visa applicant to get these shots as a part of there "local" rules. Kiev however, is NOT one of those consulates.

Vaccination Requirements

United States immigration law requires immigrant visa applicants to obtain certain vaccinations prior to the issuance of an immigrant visa. Panel physicians who conduct medical examinations of immigrant visa applicants are required to verify that immigrant visa applicants have met the vaccination requirements. See IV Vaccination Requirements for the list of required vaccinations and additional information.

As a fiancé(e), you are not required to fulfill this requirement at the time of your medical examination for a fiancé(e) visa. However, you may want to do so. These vaccinations are required when you adjust status following your marriage.

I would love this if it were true. Supposing it is, as you say. I'm not speaking of the consulate in her country. We are passed that. She's here, we're married, EAD approved, AOS applied for and appointment done. But at said appointment our "officer" informed us that we do in fact need proof of such shots/vaccines/tests. One is TB and I've found it's not a shot, only a test. This is ok. Also I've found that we can have bloodwork on the chicken pox issue instead of the shot. But, the HPV shot it's what seriously in question. According to you, this is not required. According to the man on the other side of that desk, I have until the 18th of this month to get this done. So, I'm going to morally object to the HPV, or Gardasil, shot and have the waiver and all this. As far as anything else, we have an appointment set up to discuss this with a doctor. Anyway thanks to all.

You have not been understanding what i have posted... I have only ever said that it is the visa that had no vaccination requirement... the vaccination requirement is in effect for the greencard... that is common knowledge and I have never indicated anything otherwise
