I'm going to make mathew be something adorable next year. Like a puppy. He's going to be soooo mad! I'll be like "ssssh...just give me your credit card and close your eyes!"

I will be working... but our park does a Halloween event during October.. so every weekend has been Halloween for me. With it falling on a Saturday, we'll be open until midnight, so I can only imagine the kind of rowdy crowds we are going to get. Should be fun.. but I also love handing out candy to the kids, so sorry I won't be able to be home to do it.

In my county we do trick or treat on Thursday, but in the next county over they're having it on Saturday. I really don't understand what changing the days has to do with making it any safer. Bad things will happen on Thursday just as well as they'll happen on Saturday.

NVC RECEIVED MY CASE!! I have a case number. I called on the 23rd and yesterday and both told me they didn't have it. This lady said they had it for awhile

Either way, YAY! It hasn't gone out yet but she said call in a week to see when it leaves.

So two times you were told they didn't have it.. and then today she says they've had it for a while? Did she tell you what date they received it?

I was told mine was received on October 23rd and has not gone out yet.. but on 10/23 there was a package sent to the consulate that weighs 3 pounds 1 ounce.. the exact same weight as my packet.. I suppose it is possible there is another packet going to Turkey that weighed exactly the same, but I have heard of people getting packet # 3 and NVC still saying it hasn't been sent out yet... so maybe that package was mine. Who knows...

I think waiting for the packet to go from NVC to the Embassy is more stressful than waiting for NOA2....

Jenn, check on this, I did a search and I see a Turkey one today... I'm not sure whos it is:

Called and they said mine is still there and in AP. Mine was only 3 pounds 1 ounce.. I can't imagine that enough would have been added from USCIS or NVC to make it 4 pounds.

But someone told me, today, that they were already assigned an interview and NVC is still reporting their packet it still there so really.. how can anyone know for sure until they hear from the Embassy ?
