Hi Odessa(?),

I know you can inform that you are having your interview the next day and can actually give your passport to you. You dont want to take any chance in going to the interview without your passport at the USEM. I know someone who was in the same situation and she just told the people at SLEC that she will be having her interview the next day and they let her have the passport. The appointment letter will be a proof of the date of your interview.

But yeah, you should give an allowance like if they see a scar in your lung or unexpected menstruation (knock on wood) if you think you are healthy then you are good to go. Good luck!

Forgiveness is not saying what someone did to us is right. It is saying, "I'll let God straighten this out"..

if youre 100% sure your lungs are clear, you can do the medical 3 days before the the interview. but you need to inform st lukes about your interview date just to be sure.

oh ok! well thanks so much for that, i actually called the number from the embassy letter; and i asked them because I wasnt able to read this thread again.. my computer crashed on me so no access to my visajourney lol..

anyway, i talked to the call center agent and she said i cant have the medical exam just a few days before the interview.. but then i remembered there were a lot of people on here that have had the medical exam less than a week before the interview..but still i was just kind of unsure.. but ok then, coz i am really planning to fly to manila on a tuesday or wednsday 1st flight then in the afternoon have the medical exam done until thursday and can i wait for the results? I have read on here some have done something like that..

I do want to do the medical exam on a wednsday-thursday then have the interview the monday of next week :)

You may also want to consider hotel fees and meals while waiting in Manila versus just flying back home until the interview. My fiancee is from Cebu and it was actually cheaper for her to fly home, then back again versus just staying there until the interview.

The hotels near the clinic and embassy can get costly, then you add your food bill on top of that too.

Just a thought....good luck.

Yes...I agree with the above and learned the hard way how expensive is to stay in MANILA.

Better Flying back and forth then staying there...and the taxis are going to PLUCK you alive, there are trained to spot "NON-Manila residents" a mile away.

example.. a 150 ph ride will sudden become 500 ph, hotels have special rate for non-residents....all lower priced room become fully booked and just the most expensive rooms are left
