Congratulations!! ^_^

I got an email today say Card Production Ordered!

When the case is transferred to CSC, it means no interview :)

Yesterday - Dec. 1 - I received e-mail saying we had been approved and that card will be produced and should be received within 30 days..

Today I get e-mail saying that they mailed me a notice on Dec. 1 that might have instructions and card will be received within 60 days following registration OR after we complete ADIT processing. Whatever that is.

My wife was planning on returning to see her family at the beginning of January but now I am thinking on holding off on any tickets until after green card is in her hand.

You 2 were approved for a GC with no interview ??

Is this true ?

Lucky for ya'll

No interview. I have no idea why some do and others don't.

Hi Rutherford, I already answered you above. But maybe you didn't see it. Those whose cases are transferred to CSC won't have an interview. So they will receive GC in their mails ^_^

Why is it that some are approved without an interview ??

Anyone know ?

Ross

Well , you did not really answer my question , but thanks for trying .

I asked , "why some have no interview "

Ruther.....How long does it take you to get SSN....

We went to SS office 10 days ago for a SS number , they said there is a new program that says they need Larisa's Russian birth certificate and they'll need to have it translated , they would not accept our translated birth cert..

Sooo , to answer you question , I don't know , I would guess somewhere from 21 days to 3 months

I received my card and two welcome notices in the mail on the very same day I received the CRIS email saying they sent my approval notice. So, you might even get your GC this week!

Cheers....

Went to the ssn today and it's been a little over 2 weeks since I got my ead. The guy told me they are still processing blah blah and have to wait for thursday which will be next week. I can just give them a call to check if I can already file for ssn before I go there. Oh well, gonna wait till GC arrives hopefully by Saturday or Monday. card production ordered and welcome letter was sent yesterday. Wonder if they actually send it on the mentioned dates on the uscis website/ email notification..... Just wondering! Can't wait! Hahaha!

Congrats everyone! It's raining cards and approvals! Yipee!!!

My SSC arrived 10 days after I applied for it last year.

Cheers.

I think you don't understand what I mean, if your case are transferred to CSC, it is automatically you won't have the interview. That happened a lot for those that you called they don't have interview. But... if your case isn't transferred to CSC, it will be processed at local USCIS then you will receive an interview letter, for interview. I hope this will help you.

Either your case is handled by the local office or the case is transfered to CSC. I am not sure why some cases are transferred to CSC and some are not. It might depend on the work load of the local office. Also, it seems only those that entered on a K1 are transfered to CSC (and not does adjusting status from other visas). Maybe that's because K1s already had interviews in their home countries. Anyway, those cases that stay in the local office have to come in for an interview at that office. Those transferred to CSC, do not have an interview.

62 degrees here and sun! WOW It will most likely be one of the last nice days here in CT this year - will be getting a lot colder! I hope CSC is in a good sunny mood too and will have a look at my case today! :) 12 weeks since we sent it now.

Guys,

Next week it's been 3 months since we sent our application and still haven't been touched since Oct. Let's say nothing happens in December... what can I do? Do I schedule an infopass? What is infopass?? I know it's still too early to complain but if I still haven't had a touch in a month or two, there has to be something you can do? Getting scared they forgot / lost my case! Almost everyone in Sep filers have gotten approval or interview date by now and we applied on Sep 9 and still have heard nothing and have had no RFEs.

Most of our cases are transferred to CSC for processing. The reason for transfer, according to USCIS, is to reduce the workload of the local USCIS office. Cases that are transferred usually get approval or denial without interview. However, I have read about cases that are transferred to CSC get transferred back to the local office and interview is then scheduled. Probably something is not right somewhere and interview is required.

On the other hand, it also depends on where the applicants are located. Some offices have the capability to do interviews. For instance, I see that applicants coming from Michigan and California will have their interview even though they come on K-1. As for North Carolina, I see most applicants get their case transferred and my friend here in NC got her case approved without interview and she came on B-2.

Cheers...

Give a little more time. I'm sure you"ll hear something before Christmas and more than likely you may not have an interview just an email message saying "card production ordered" I understand your frustration, I experienced it. Have faith and hang in there.

Well my case was transferred to CSC and then later "transferred to local USCIS office" so I'm not sure if they'll require an interview now. It's the not knowing that is irritating. I really want the green card by Christmas so that we can start the new year without all of these immigration issues (and no touches since October 22), but hey - don't we all!

Congrats to those with approvals, and good luck to everyone still waiting. :)

Same with me Gemmie, I've heard people say that the "local office" update after transfer simply means that they checked your file in and are now working on it. I'm still waiting on my RFE, hopefully the return address on that will give some indication whether it is at CLT or CSC.

thanks

sorry bout the second RFE... u would think they would send everything at once.. but u will be approved in due time!!

Received e-mail notice that I-485 was approved today and card production was ordered. They say it could be 30 days until we receive green card ??

I 485 received by USCIS on 9/2

Biometrics 10/22

EAD received 10/28

Approval 12/1

There was no contact with me or listed action on their web page. Just a straight jump from Initial Review to Card Production.

I won't complain.

hallo! Got another touch today. And the oath ceremony/ document production from yesterday went back 2 slots to decision. It's an approval right? Since I got card production notice yesterday. Guess common sense is not working today or just looking for reassurance and confirmation! Woohooo! Nervous and ecstatic!

I got an email today say Card Production Ordered!

Yesterday - Dec. 1 - I received e-mail saying we had been approved and that card will be produced and should be received within 30 days..

Wow a lot of approvals! CONGRATULATIONS guys! Looks like you'll be having a real nice Christmas. My interview will be on Jan 13.as for the meantime,i'm busying myself with work,I had a seasonal work at jcpenny and it ended today but got another call from the staffing that i signed up with, they got me another job that will start on monday till after Christmas at UPS.
