Hi all,

I had posted this question in the regional (philippine) forum, but haven't recieved any response; hope someone can answer this:

Is philippines appointment post or standard post? I am preparing the ds-230 package and plan on using the james and ling shortcuts to speed up the process.

If Philippines uses the appointment post, which I think they do, then I have to mail in all original docs with the DS-230packag; if it is Standard post thn my wife has to bring the original docs to interview.

Please let me knowif the Philippines is appointment post.

Thnk you much

Steve

If you can give us more information about Appointment post between Standard post, probably we can give you more definite answer. But to tell you something about DS230, sometimes if its really that necessary NVC will just ask you to bring the Original copies of the docs by the time of the interview.

For CR1 and IR1, the NVC will assign the interview date.

YES, definitely send originals to NVC. (SEE LINGCHE's Shortcut).

Also, get extra copies, coz I sent originals to NVC and yet during the interview they requested another set of originals (BirthCert, Marriage Cert, and Marriage Index).

I don't know what you mean by Appointment Post and Standard post, but I hope the above info is what you are looking for.

Tnguy is exactly right, you will send originals (plus one copy) to NVC. Make sure you bring copies to the interview as well. The copies can be simple, standard copies and do not have to be certified or notarized. You will get them back at the interview

Good luck.
