Hi everyone,

I'm sorry if this is the wrong area to post this question, but I wasn't sure where to post. My husband arrived on August 31, 2009 with a CR-1 visa.

Today we received an ASC Appointment Notice (code 2) and I am wondering why we got this and what it means. He just had fingerprints done at the embassy and at the port of entry. Has anyone else had this experience? Is this normal?

Thanks in advance!

We received a CR-1/IR-1 and my husband did not have to get finger printed once he enter the US. The only thing we had to do was wait for the green card to arrive. However I would post this question on the CR-1/IR-1 forum. It is possible that the process has changed since we were approved in Sep 07.

It could be possible that the fingerprints they took when he arrived at the POE aren't good enough to use so they are requesting him to redo them. There is a finger or thumb print that is actually part of the green card.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
