Filed k-1 and fiance went medical, they forwarded her passpoort and k-2 to the Manila embassy. She is not going to an interview and we are not getting married. How can she get passport back from Manila? Do I need to send a letter, or can she? Any ideas on this one? You answers are appreciated....

She should write the letter, expaining the situation and requesting the return of her passport. Some embassies expect requests like that to be notarized.

Best of luck!

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

It is a nice sentiment to think will will work it out, but this is the second time I have filed a k-1 for her. It will not work out nor do I wish it to at this point. My best wishes to all though who do complete this process...

Well my first pinay fiance didn't work out either. Turned out for the better as a couple years later without even trying I got a "keeper".
