Hmm...ok, another question. What about K3 vs. CR-1, I don't have a firm grasp, yet, of the difference between the two, and in our situation, which would be most beneficial?

Definitely do a CR1! Someone else will tell you why, LOL I just know the CR1 is better from what everyone says on here

K-3 used to be a faster shortcut for people who were waiting for the CR-1. At one time the CR-1 took a LONG time to process and the K-3 allowed spouses to enter the US and wait with their partners while the CR-1 finished processing, or they could apply to adjust their status from the K-3 visa. CR-1s, however, now take about the same length of time as the K-3 and you still have all of this additional money and processing to do with the K-3 before you can work or get your green card, while with the CR-1 you get the green card right away. The K-3 is now considered obsolete so you definitely want to go with the CR-1 if you are married.
