Support Question

Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Myanmar

It looks like the during the I-129F process they don't ask for much proof that you can support your fiancee. It only asks iy you are employed on the G-325.

At the time I am not employed and haven't been for a while, is it possible that I could be rejected at this point because of this? I intend to be working very soon and have others that would be co-sponsors, I don't need to show this on the application for the I-129, correct?

It looks like the second part for the interview is when support proof needs to be shown, correct?

thanks again all for your help.

The first part of the K-1 process (the petition stage) simply looks at whether you are eligible (essentially) - do you meet the minimum requirements. The petitioner's employment (or lack of) is not part of that equation.

The second stage - the Visa/Interview - is where they will look at the affidavit of support.

Yes....is at the embassy level that you have to prove that you can support your fiancee.

When you love someone from the bottom of your heart; so much that you are willing to give your life for your loved one, time and distance takes a backseat. Only love prevails. And with love in you hearts you can overcome anything.
