I filed two seperate application for mother and father; however only one them got approved the other one is still showing pending. These files had consective application number so I am little surprise that only one got approved.

Has anyone ran into this before?

There is nothing you can do. USCIS will not hold both until they can approve both. What you can do is once the approved I-130 has got to the NVC and a case number has been issued you can speak to a officer and explain you wish to wait for the other approval before you act on the the 1st case. That way both cases will go through NVC together and your parents will get there interview together.

Thanks! I hope they approve soon. What kind of mess is this?

Hi Lomeshp,

I had the same situation. I sent two separate petitions for my parents (in separate postage-paid envelopes). Their USCIS case numbers were consecutive as well.

I received my dad's approval notice in the mail on a Friday and my mom's approval notice 3 days later. Both notices had the same approval date though :)

Think positive, you'll probably get your other parent's appoval notice tomorrow or Wednesday!!!

Good luck!!!

My dad's I-130 was approved Aug 12 via the email notice and my mom's not. I sent them both together and their case numbers were consecutive as well. I hope I get the notice today for my mom's. I'd love to have their cases together..

Dont worry even if their approvals are a few weeks apart you can get them both on the same track at NVC. You just wait until both cases are at NVC and case numbers asigned then you just send all the paperwork for both cases in the same envelope and they will be linked at NVC, that way they get the interview on the same day.
