I-130?????

hi guys, just need some clarifications...does my husband (american citizen) need to fill out the I-130 forms and should we really include it on the i485 package?i entered USA with a K1 visa and it says there that after we get married all we need to file is the i485 & i765....it says there is a $130 fee to file i130...what should we do?please help...thanks

If you entered the US with a K-1 Visa, you do not need to fill out the I-130.

To adjust your status to Permanent Resident, you will need to fill out Form I-485 and a G-325A. If you want to work before your AOS is approved, then you will need to fill out Form I-765 and if you want to travel outside the US before your AOS is approved, then you will need to fill out Form I-131.
