I called NVC today and was told that my daughter and I have an interview in Montreal for August 1st!!! I can't believe all this is going to be over soon and that I'm finally going to be with the love of my life forever (L) I'm feeling excited but also very nervous. I still have to schedule the medicals for my daughter and I. Thank you to everyone who has answered all my questions and have been so supportive. I don't think I could of gotten through this with my sanity somewhat intact if it hadn't been for this site and all of the wonderful people here :luv:

April 24, 2000 - Met in an online chat room

May 26, 2000 - Met in person

July 12, 2000 - Engaged

March 2001 - My permanent resident status is approved in Canada

April 28, 2001 - Married in my hometown, South Bend, IN

May 2, 2001 - Crossed Canadian border and finalized my landed immigrant status

April 17, 2006 - Sent Packet 3 back to Montreal

April 20, 2006 - Packet 3 received by Montreal

July 6, 2006 - Received Packet 4

September 8, 2006 - INTERVIEW and APPROVAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm just curious how they figured dates... found out ours today also but not till august 21st..but hey not going to complain..atleast we have one..

I too am nervous... just having to convince a stranger we are for real..and knowing a stranger decides just by papers and a few minutes conversation... oh i have to stop..cant go there... positive positive positve thoughts... lol

Yes, I'm curious about that, too. So curious I've actually made up a chart comparing when the I-130 was sent in, when it was approved and when the case was completed (or packet 3 sent to the embassy for DCF). I just need to make sense of things. :lol:

I might post my findings once I see more people getting interview dates. All I can say for now is that Kaitie64, who has an interview date of 08/01/06, has the oldest NOA1 but is 5 days behind Mermaid for case complete. I'm starting to see some pattern.

Filled out I-129F 2/22/02

I-130 was approved 10/22/02

Was out of work for 6 months :( Immigration process was at a stand still thanks to this

Got his EAD and SSN in February 2003

Job market sucked, he couldn't get a job in the US so no AOS

9/8/04 :( DH moved back to Canada K-3 expired

End of 2004, now have job and salary to satisfy affadavit of support (YAY!)

in the wee hours of 6/1 Fire was lit under our butts! (Don't ask!) :(

Visa bill mailed on 6/3

Visa bill received on 6/7

I-864 stuff was sent via overnight mail on 6/14!

Information packet and docs generated 6/20/05

I rec'd the DS-230 packet on 7/26

Sent ds-230 via express mail 8/13

9/15/05 CASE COMPLETED!!!!!!!

10/6/05 Case sent to consulate

10/27/05 Medical Exam ...was marked incomplete

11/10/05 New Medical Exam letter issued! YAY!

11/15/05 Interview--APPROVED BABY!

4/30/06 Activated IR-1 Visa at the Pacific Hwy Crossing in Blaine, WA

5/12/06 Dave Received the Welcome to the US letter...

5/31 Green Card arrived in the mail! Also got 2 more welcome letters!

Dave's company has transferred him 7/6!

Started his position in Bay Area, CA on 8/14!

Thanks everyone for all the well wishes :) Congrats Mermaid on getting your date too! Too bad it isn't the same day, would of loved seeing someone from the VJ family there. Just finished booking our flight and hotel. La tour centre ville was booked solid so ended up getting a room at the Days Inn about 7 blocks away. I want to pick up our visa's in person the next day so we'll (my daughter and I) stay an extra night. Thanks Jersey Girl, yes he does love me alot but does miss the food. Hopefully we'll be moving Sept 1st. Jill, I'll give you a wave as we go through Bellingham on our way to Everett. Best wishes to all who are still waiting for their interview :luv:
