Hi,

Where is your fiance from? I know generally a B2 visa is valid for 10 years but if he coming to the US on intent to marry, he wont be able to. Most likely he will be gven an I-94 form( arrival/departure form) and they will give him certain amount of time and he must return to his country by the date specified or he will be considered illegal. Good luck I hope this helps

Yes - he can apply for a B-2 visa extention, extentions are granted based on the reason for the request and whether USCIS believes the beneficiary will actually return to his home country.

Take a look at this site, it's great and talks about the documentation required for the extention and the fees as well as how and when to extend your stay.

b-2's are usually given 6 months to visit.

up to CBP at the POE.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS
