Would have to blow steam up, water would just fall back into the ocean, and for the vapor to rise, would have to warmer than the ambient. So what is going to power these roaming boiling craft? Solar won't work, the clouds that make will block the light. Anyway, if they start to build these things, sounds like a nice job to pilot one.

Not hearing so much about global warming anymore, more like climate change, we just had the coldest July in recorded history. If that huge volcano in Yellowstone pops it's cork, scientists claim it way overdue, we may have another ice age. Had one about 12,000 years ago, that one was caused by a lost civilization that hated hybrid cars and all drove large SUV's.

Oh brother...

 believe it or not I said just that very thing when I read this.....

edit-seriously Nick-thanks for the chuckle, I really needed it today ( no sarcasm).

Fun @ Nick's expense. Sorry Nick.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

The oceans can rise enough to cover a very large portion of land currently inhabited.

Vallejo, California. Jefferson County & New Orleans, Louisiana. Key Biscane, Florida. No big loss.

Oh... Key Biscayne... nice place.

Lucky for the rest of the planet there's more people that want to stop such nonsense.

It's practically under water already.

Nice beaches there too.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

*resisting the urge to launch the 'weather v climate' thingy all over again- along with the 'water vapor gas is lighter than the surrounding air that's why it rises and takes h20 vapor with it where it condenses to form clouds at the condensation level', but decided against it. :D sorry Nick. wasn't being mean, but this did make me chuckle, infact the whole topic of shooting steam into the air to make clouds is uhmmmm...I dunno, it's something.

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!
