OMG, I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS:

Just got an e-mail from CRIS saying that my EAD card production was ordered! I didn't even think you could get approved so fast after the biometrics, after a WEEK. I wasn't expecting that at all for at least 2-3 weeks. I hvent started looking for a job or anything lol

CHIQY, I'm sorry they didn't let you do a walk-in, but if it makes you feel better: I've noticed a tendency that a lot of people who go to a bio appt on time get their EAD and interview letter shortly after the appt, so keep your hopes up! I'm sure it will work out well!

Pinayangelus, congrats with the interview letter, I think you have sufficient evidence! Either way, you don't have a SSN yet, so they can't accuse you of not having much evidence without one.

Inna,

Those are great news, congratulations!! And good luck with your job search!!

Hi Rahul

I am also from India. I have a qn regarding the Birth certificate. What did you do to get the Birth certificate from India. Since it's not quiet obvious in our country. I have sent 2 affidavits and school certificates but I haven't received RFE yet I hope I won't get. However I am working to get NABC from India.

Thank you

I had send two affidavits from mother and father and high school record. Unfortunately for me, I got an RFE for Birth Certificate they need Birth Certificate or an NABC. I have gotten an NABC from my birth town Municipal Office which of course is in the regional language, so now I am working on getting it translated, once that is done I would send my RFE response. . Now I have an NABC with a little twitch in it too, my mother and father no longer stay at the same address they used to when I was born. The registrar would not search the document with the new address, and gave the certificate with the old address in it. My question is should I explain this difference in address to USCIS, (address on affidavits from mother father is their present address, address on NABC is the address where I was born), or should I just send it without any explanation and may be wait for another RFE or luck. :star:

Sorry Ppl for the two consecutive posts. Wanted to vent my misery first. :crying:

For Richa,

If your parents are born before 1969 (most probably), then you do not need an NABC, but you would need two affidavits from close relatives (preferrably elder than your father and mother) to state that they were born in X city on Y date. And a school certificate would do for before 1969 born.

For Bluehills73, hoping that you don't get an RFE about Birth Certificate, but I would start NABC process just in case. They sent an RFE in about 18 - 20 days after I submitted, so cross your fingers.

rahul

Hi Richa,

I hope that affidavit would work for you. I do have same but little bit different format and please make sure they will get it done in stamping paper in India. But if they are in US then white paper should work.

But I have no idea what is this for besides the NABC. What do you think and how did you get your email when you received RFE?
