You dont file a CR-1 for a child its a CR-2 I-130, says it on the forms. All the information is in the guides and on the forms, they even have examples filled out for people to look at.

Canadiangal,

Pose the questions as you were in the other forum. Her question also applies to the fact that they are in a battle with the child father as far as moving him ( the child ) to the US. I stated there is a letter needed once the case reaches the NVC from the father giving permission for the child to immigrate. Any fellow Canadians go through the Cr2 process that can shed some light?

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

OK Canadian girl I found this thread which has the RFE for NVC about the custody issue,

MISSING DOCUMENT LIST FOR: SAVILLA, SEAN PAUL ANDREW GERVACIO

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

______CUSTODY PAPERS:______________________________________________

Please submit evidence that you have been granted custody of this

child. Copies of original court custody documents are acceptable.

In addition to the above, in cases of joint custody or remaining

rights of a non-custodial parent, applicants must also submit a

notarized statement from the non-custodial parent granting

permission for the child to immigrate to the U.S.

No interview will be scheduled until ALL of the information requested has been returned to the National

Visa Center.

I think yiou are good to go as far as the court order you have for custody now you need to work on being abke to get the child out of Canada. Sorry I could not be of more help

thread
