how long does it usually take to know when your interview date is after you recieve your nao2?

That depends on you partly. Your case will get forwarded to the NVC form there to your consulate. Once it's at the consulate and you receive and return packet 3 you can call the DoS and find out when your interview has been scheduled for. I would say between 4-6 weeks provided you return the packet 3 promptly and arn't held up at the NVC.

You might ask in the regional forum how long it took others to get dates from your embassy. I know I got tons of tips on speeding up the process at the US Embassy in Kingston by asking others in the regional section.
