My husband just received his welcome letter yesterday and my name was spelled incorrect. Is this a big deal, and should I contact the USCIS Immediately? How long will it take before my husband receives his Green Card. Thanks for any informative information.

My husband just received his welcome letter yesterday and my name was spelled incorrect. Is this a big deal, and should I contact the USCIS Immediately? How long will it take before my husband receives his Green Card. Thanks for any informative information.

I'm thinking it's most important that his name is spelled correctly, I think the wait on green cards is something like 6 months but I don't know for sure.

I would call or send them a letter outlining the error just to be on the safe side.

I'm just gonna throw a date: He will get his GC on August 13th. Inshallah.

I would suggest you contact USCIS for the misspelled name to avoid future problems.
