Need advice on this emotional/logical conflict

my K-3 made it to the embassy. first. while we waited for security checks for 6 months at that point. then soon as the CR1 made it to the embassy. The embassy Cancelled the K-3 from us. pulled the rug out from under us.

isabel you got somtime, you should ride both tracks out, and then choose. that cr1 takes some time once it arrives at embassy.

Jusr see what happens and make your decision then. Based on the fact that you don't even have your NOA2 for your K3, your IR1 will be done first anyway. If you're organized and all you could be done with the NVC in 6-8 weeks. Then add another 4-6 weeks before you get the interview date. As Shon said if both are at the embassy at the same time, the embassy will cancel the K3 automatically. So, my advice is to wait and see. Viel Glueck!

Not necessarily as it depends on the consulate post. In some cases there is no difference in time it takes to gain a CR-1 interview as opposed to a K-3, in some it takes much longer. In some, interviews in general have a short wait for inteview, in some there can be a long wait regardless of visa type.
