Thanks for the replies.

One more question. If for instance your wife wants to go home for a vacation (e.g Philippines) and you don't have enough money to do it if you will go with her, will you allow her to go alone or not? I am just curious coz i really want to visit my parents back home but i think we dont have enough yet to do it at this point if both of us will go.

I would definitely let her go by herself.

Just because you are married, it doesn't mean you are attached at the hip. Sometimes alone time is nice. I'm a woman... My mom lives 12 hours away. When I go to see her, I want a day with her all to myself.... I've got girlfriends. Sometimes it's nice to get out and go have a coffee or glass of wine and talk about our kids and our spouses.

Remember, your spouse may not always be the best person to use as a venting board when it's them you want to vent about  That's what friends are for :)

You are still your own individuals, so if you have an interest, that doesn't interest your spouse, I figure it's fine to do it... course, if my spouses' interest was to go on a 30 day cruise by himself... that I would protest against. I want to go too, I hear you can get some great stuff! But, if he wants to go peruse the bike shop for an hour while he's looking for some super special handle bar thing that I just don't understand, and nor do I want to... I'd rather he just go and I'll stay home and read :)

Hello guys!!

I'm new here. I want to post a topic about marriage but I dont know where to post it. hehe

Anyway, I want to know how would you feel if your spouse would still go out with friends even you are already married.

It is okay that he/ she will go out without you?

Within reason. Coming home at 2am and drunk as a skunk 3 nights a week probably means your relationship is in trouble or soon will be.

Just how often are skunks drunk? Although that might explain Pepe Le Pew...

If the moon were made outta cheese, would ya eat it? A simple yes or no would suffice.

If the moon hadn't passed its expiration date? Sure.

I definitely believe that it is healthy for people to have outside interests and friends .... love my hubby dearly, but I would go nuts if I never saw anyone but him!!!

And we did have the situation of him returning home for a visit without me. When our son was about 8 months old, hubby took him to Canada to meet his family. I didn't have enough vacation time from work, so I couldn't go. Was I envious? Hell yeah, but it was really important for him to visit. My envy was just that I LOVE Vancouver and wished I could have gone.

And I don't think of it in terms of "I allowed him" to go. I don't control my husband, nor does he control me. We're a partnership, we discuss decisions with each other, but he doesn't "allow" me to do something and vice versa.
