Moving after interview

So depending on timing I may have to move (across country) as soon as 5 days but as late as 2 weeks after having the AOS interview. Assuming we get approved and I move before receiving the GC what do I need to worry about?

I figure I can:

- Forward my mailing Address (not supposed to forward mail but sometimes it goes through)

- File AR11

- File I-863 (do I need to do this if I have a I-551 stamp in passport?)

But the timing may not work out. What happens in that case? Is there a fee to pay? I'm just trying to cover all my bases.

Also, I *may* be able to postpone moving for another week but realistically that might not be possible. Any advice?

The green cards do not get forwarded, they get returned. Make sure, really sure, that your new address is in the system. Several threads here on VJ about green cards getting returned and the hassle to get a replacement.

What happens after it get returned? I'm reading I'd have to pay $290 to have it reprinted?

Can you have someone pick up your mail at your current address after you move? No one needs to "sign" for the green card when it arrives.
