We just had our draft for my office league.

Here's my starting roster.

RB Ahmad Bradshaw

Our league has 9 starters, including a RB/WR flex.

I actually picked Marshawn Lynch as my 4th round pick (after Steve Jackson, Peyton Manning, and TO). Lynch is injured but when he comes back I have high hopes (LOL!) . Meanwhile he'll start on my bench. The rest of my RBs/WRs are so-so. It's a 12 person league, so the pickings get pretty bad by 5th-6th round. I took Favre as a wildcard 3rd QB in the 15th round. Pretty sad to see him so low.

If you guys still organize a VJ draft, I'm in. I think I can run 2 teams at once.

For my office league, we used to ESPN for the draft - they have a nice Snake draft which lets you get through the process very efficiently. It took us about 1.5 hours to do 16 rounds with 12 people. We use Yahoo for the actual league though.

For the VJ league - has there been any discussion of rules? Number of positions on roster? Points per TD, interception, etc.? Over the years we found that standard Yahoo scoring for interceptions doesn't penalize them enough, and we've upped it to -3 per interception.

Where is VJ league discussion going on? In email? I don't see any here on this thread...

I have bumped this thread a few times and there has been no new interest, As it is now we have 8 people at best that want to play, now that Scandal is in. I dont think smoke is going to be able to do it.

8 people is decent but I would like to get all the vj people in and turn it into a public league so that we could get a additional 4 people so that its more competitive. With 8 people all the teams are stacked and its not as competitive IMO. What does everybody else think?, let the discussion begin.

I like my office league because I know everyone in it, so the rivalry is enjoyable.

Sure, a VJ league isn't like that, since we don't really know each other besides our common membership on VJ. But that's still more than just John Q. Public.

Also, I'm ok with an 8 people league. That's enough to make it interesting, yet still provide a depth of quality players to draft well into the 8th round or so.

With 12 teams, by round 5 you're pretty much drafting #######. So you get a decent QB and RB, but your second string RB and WRs are probably going to be junk.

Anyway, I'm in if there's a league with a draft next week (after Tues). I can't draft this (Labor Day) weekend since I'm getting married

Sure it would be nice to make it all VJ members, bragging rights alone would be priceless, furthermore to show you all how much i rock and let you all know how you wish you were me is beyond priceless that said 8 vs 10 or hopefully 12 is a good discussion. Heres how I see it, when you have 8 teams, every one is stacked and the diamond in the rough option is pretty much out because it makes more sense to play the odds but if you have to sort thru the shite you start doing your homework and become more involved

That's me in 7th position, picking after Peterson, LaDaninian, Forte were gone (they would have been my 1,2,3 picks).

We had 2 QBs picked in our first round (Brees, Brady) and 2 WRs picked (Fitzgerald, Moss). 4/12 non-RBs in Round 1. What has Fantasy Football come to, I ask???
