i had my aos interview on 7th july. the officer took my I-94 but not my ead. he said that everything looked okay and we should get should get something in the mail. he did write something on our file but i dont know what it was. he didnt say we were approved and so i asked him if we were. he said that we were and advised me to file for citizenship in three years. i thought we were approved. i cant see my case online but when i called uscis they said that my case was still at the field office and they didnt know why...i an worried now if they need anything more. i was wondering if i should go ahead and set up a infopass appointment.

do you think its okay for a case to remain at the field office after the interview. i usually dont get the right info from uscis. they messed up even after my biometrics saying that they didnt receive it even after FBI sent it a week back. does all the case info get uploaded...i hope the uscis i wrong and my card production has started...

It has only been seven working days since your interview. It took a couple weeks for my wife to get USCIS mail after the interview and 30 days to get the card. You should get a letter in the mail soon.

Sometimes, the CRIS website does not get updated quickly or at all. As for the USCIS 800 number you are speaking with an outsourced call center who can only tell you what limited information that they can access on their computer screen. The USCIS 800 number was nicknamed the misinformation on VJ a few years ago.

Naturalization

4/4/14 - check cashed

04/29/14 - biometrics date

07/01/14 - interview date

xx/xx/xx - Oath Ceremony

Mine took two weeks because of background checks. Though its annoying, no news usually means good news. Hang in there!!!!!!
