It is quite common for USCIS to go beyond the 60 day time period that they suggest. It has been going on 8 months since you filed - you should be hearing something very soon. If you are very worried, you can make an infopass appointment at your local USCIS office and speak with an immigration officer in person. You can make the infopass by going to http://www.uscis.gov, then in the right hand column, select 'Schedule an appointment", then follow the instructions.

For what it is worth, my AOS took 22 months to process, 9 of those months after it was transferred to CSC - and I had no RFEs either. Sometimes AOS just takes a while. Good luck.

Most cases that are transferred to CSC (California Service Center) do get approved without an interview (not all, it is rare but CSC can kick the case back to the local office).

You are most likely to be approved without an interview if your file is transferred to CSC. Yes, our file was processed in California and we were approved without an interview - they just took their time getting to us, hehehe!

Calling the 1-800 line is useless, but I wouldn't say that the Infopass is necessarily useless. If it goes past 60 days you may find making the infopass useful, if only to reassure yourself that they are still working on your file.

Chances are good you will not have an interview... anything more is cloudy...

Info pass is definitely worthwhile. After we waited 10 months for our AOS interview letter (we were K3 and were interviewed), we made an infopass. We waited 10 months to be well outside the posted I485 times for our local office. The IO was surprised that we had not been given our interview, saying that they were not that backed up. She looked up our case, said we should here something soon, and did a lot of typing. She then assured as something would happen soon and to come back if nothing happens in 30 days. 10 days later we got our interview letter.

BTW, you most likely won't have an interview since you are at CSC, unless you see a status update that they sent your case back to NBC.
