AOS stuck after interview

Hi guys,

I'd like to ask if anyone of you can share your experience about Infopass Appointment. How helpful it is for my AOS case (pending)? My story goes like this....I had an interview last May 2006, and the officer who interviewed us told that if 3 up to 4 weeks at the most we don't hear anything from USCIS we need to contact them. The officer only gave us service center phone number. And then yesterday we called the service center and asked about the status, they only said that the processing time is taking up to 120 days.

My question here is how helpful it is the infopass appointment for AOS pending case? Anyone of you experiences a better outcome after having the infopass appointment? Please, kindly share. Thank you.

In what ground the officer said it will take 3to 4weeks, he might tell you that some of your file is missing etc..please give the detail what officer told you.

The officer didn't give any decision at all upon our interview, and only said...just wait for 3 to 4 weeks at the most if you don't hear anything (denial, approval or RFE). Just make a call (given only her name and service center phone number). When making a call yesterday, they said that the processing time is taking 120 days. I'm just confused about my status now. I'm definately nowhere. How important it is for me GC, since I want to get driver's licence, travel, etc.... So sad now...I don't know if infopass appointment would be helpful. I try whatever the outcome would be...

In Carina's case the infopass was not helpful at all; they just tell you what you already know and repeat the processing dates. Try writing a letter to your district office asking for status...depending on the office it can take 2-6 weeks for a response. If you have the officers name who interviewed you then write to him/her directly.

We have our AOS pending still and we went for an infopass appointment about 53 days ago. I felt really good about our delayed case after leaving the infopass appointment but now that it has been almost 60 days since the infopass appointment and we still haven't heard anything about an interview date I am not so sure how helpful an infopass appointment is. I guess if I were you I would try it though as it sounds like you have already had your interview.
