Your carry on bag can't have containers of any kind of liquid that are more than 3oz like L179 said. You can bring larger containers than that in your checked luggage though. I brought a box back from Vietnam than weighed 23kg and was filled with different food/gift items. Spices, seasonings, coffee, etc. I had some similar gifts in my checked bag, coffee, juice from Dalat, etc. They x-rayed both box and bag at customs at LAX and only asked me about the items in the box to make sure there weren't any meat items. Here's a list of the items that customs won't allow or will charge a duty for. Just claim everything honestly on your form they give you before you land.

im worried where i put my jewelries. isnt it dangerous to put in my checked in baggage? or should i hand carry it? i have 5 gold rings and 3 bracelets and 3 necklaces. is it ok for hand carry? or for check in? wont it be a problem bringing too much jewelries?

Keep anything valuable like that in your carry on bag so that it's with you all the time.

no beef products due to mad cow disease. not even processed things containing "beef extracts", whatever that is.

jewelry, definitely keep in your purse. also, be careful on long flights and crowded planes. people have been known to steal camera bags and purses from overhead bins during the sleeping section of the flight. it is rare, but can happen, and once the plane starts unloading...

can we bring lotion, shampoo and perfumes? I have like 4boxes of diff perfumes with me, wonder if it wont be a problem. Are they going to check what's inside our bag? like they really open it up and check carefully what are the things we packed inside?

Hi,yes you can bring those.Just put it on your check-in luggage. They will just let you open your baggages and just checked what's on top.

About your jewelries, just put that in your handcarry bag.I put it on the small pocket inside of my handcarry. That's what I did.

Happy Trip.
