OK, so my American Fiance has already put in a K-1 application in the States. I am currently on a 10 year bar, he has spoken to the State Dept and they have told him that i will need to file an I-601 application.

This is the problem, the US embassy in London won't allow walk-ins, when i called the appointment line they informed me i cannot make an appointment as of yet to place this application, instead gave me an email address (to which i have emailed) and advised me i will hear from them regarding where i file this application.

All i want to be able to do is file my application so i can get the ball rolling!

can anyone help???

Thanks so much

You first need a visa interview; at the interview, your visa will be denied because of the ban, and then you can file the waiver.

But......... we already know i will be denied. The person at the State Dept told him i should place my I-601 application while we are waiting for the K-1 interview. Also how long from initial application does it take to get K-1 interview????

Like Penguin said, you can't submit your I-601 until you've actually been denied a visa. You can take it with you to your interview and hand it over as soon as they tell you your visa is denied.
