What happened Vanessa? I think I must have missed what you wrote earlier.

I flew down in the morning both times for my interviews (once to file I-130, and a second time for the proper interview). I was coming from Brisbane and took the earliest flight out at 6am, arrived in Sydney around 7:30am, hopped on a train and was at the Consulate with time to spare. No dramas

Vanessa, when I was at my interview, the first officer asked me if I had flown down that morning or the night before, and I mentioned that I had come down the night before because of you and your experience, which was pretty recent. And I think he remembered you! Or at least, the situation of that day

Making my wedding invites today...thank god for paper cutters being invented, saving me so much time! I should have them all done tonight and have them ready to mail to Alex by tomorrow!

Awww! It's a K1 application so it's slightly difft to yours. Yours shouldn't be too far away. Have you been watching the timelines?

I personally would watch this one: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...r1cr1historical according to this, they're currently processing cases with a NOA1 date of Aug 15. (see Step 2, the first graph). Your 10 Sept so you should be in around a month... BUT if it's anything like my graph sometimes the date being processed jumps by 2 or 3 days per 1 actual day so it could be 2 weeks instead of 4. I like to watch it 'cause for me it was spot on! You can see from the peak rising that it's actually slowed down heaps recently & fingers crossed it speeds up but with Xmas.. it's highly unlikely... but *fingers crossed*.

Thanks so much Vanessa! Damo keeps asking me today why am I so nervous when I have been telling him that all of yall that have been through this says they are really nice at the Sydney consulate. I even went by Martin Place so I knew exactly where I have to go in the morning. I'm soooo excited but starting to get nervous. I'm going to try to get an early night because I hardly slept last night. I was already getting excited but I doubt I'll get much sleep tonight either.

Good luck to those having their interview tomorrow!

Just a random question, does anyone know if there are any restrictions in regards to travelling out of the USA, once the wedding has taken place and I have filled out the paperwork after the wedding. As I was thinking of coming back home (New Zealand - where my family lives) and having a gathering for those family member's that couldnt make it to the wedding. It would be maybe 1 year after the wedding, I dont assume there would be an issue, but wondered if anyone knew the answer
