We are both students and have both recently graduated. She got her MBA from

a good University in California and she is an alumni of a top University in

China.

My parents and I have a poor relationship so they refused to cosponsor her.

I cannot sponsor her because I didn't meet the poverty line income

requirements because I was a student.

The only friends I have are also students who had part time jobs at school

which don't meet the $18.5k per year requirement.

My other family members are only my two living elderly grandparents who have

no income besides social security and my sister who is only a college

student.

We have no one else to turn to and I know there are members of the Chinese

American community who are willing to go out of their way to help Chinese

immigrants.

She only has a limited time left before she will be forced to go back to

China, about a month.

I am now in the process of looking for a job but I cannot sponsor her myself as I lack

working history since I was busy with school for the last three years.

If there is anyone out their willing to cosponsor my newly married Chinese

wife please email me at pasq777@yahoo.com

We would be extremely grateful and appreciative for any help regarding this

process!

I don't think a person from this forum is going to sponsor your wife, seeing as they have never even met you. I think you should do your best to find a job as quickly as possible, and if you need 2 jobs, so be it.

How would you two plan to live in the States, if neither of you have any income? What kind of visa is she on now, student?

If you can't find someone to sponsor her, I guess (?) she may have to go back to China temporarily, until you find a stable job, and then you could start the CR-1 process. I think it takes around 6 months (you'll have to check the timelines for China). As long as you are able to find a decent job soon, I think you'll be fine. You can note on the I-864 that you were a student for the previous 3 years and didn't have an income.

If you are part of a church, temple, or whatever type of religious organization, you can try there. Or look around for some type of Chinese immigrant organization. Sometimes there are places that can help.

Is there any way you can go to China with her? Once you both have jobs, you can look into coming back later.

Best of luck!
