Hello,

We are in the Netherlands and it does not appear we will be allowed to file the I-785 until we return to the US after our final immigration interview over here July 30th. Does anyone have a general idea once it is filed how long the I-785 takes before it is approved? We are curious because we have been offered our dream job and want to have at least a somewhat realistic time frame on when Marcus would be legal to work.

If location matters at all, I am from Arizona, but the job we are looking at is in Rhode Island. I don't know if where you file effects the time it takes.

Do you mean the I-765 work authorazation? From your timeline you are doing the K-3. Which means you will have to do the AOS once you are in the US. Once filed it takes 60-90 days to get the I-765

Edit if you can get the interview as a CR interview then you will get your Social security with in two weeks of arrival, however I am not that familiar with DCF

I-751 mailed 6/30/09 aapproved 11/7/09 The BOYS I-751 Mailed 12/29/09 3/23/10 Email approval for 17 CR 3/27/10
4/14/10 Email approval for 13 yr Old CR 4/23/10

Oldest son now 21 I-130 filed by LPR dad ( as per NVC CSPA is applying here )
I-130 approved 2/24
Priority date 12/6/2007
4/6/2010 letter from NVC arrives to son dated 3/4/2010
5/4/10 received AOS and DS3032 via email
9/22/10 Interview BOG Passed
10/3/10 POE JFK all went well
11/11/10 GC Received smile.png
