quick question friends.. if u fail the test how many test can u retake it or Attempts? and how much every fee for retake?>> (F)

If you fail at the Learners' Permit Test/Exam, you won't pay anything, Only until you pass that you have to pay less than 10 or 15 dollars, I am not sure, I forgot how much. You can re-take it even everyday until you pass the exam, don't stress out, it's very easy as long as you have read the Driver's Manual. Good Luck!!!

most important tip of all - drive on the right side of the road, not the left.

Here is a link to a Nevada example test in which two are free to take:http://www.dmv.org/nv-nevada/practice-tests.php

If you do a Google search for your state, a couple of free online tests should be in the results. The free tets for Illinois helped my wife in her written test.

EVERYBODY... thank you so much for the tips.. I appreciate it.. Im reading the book right now.. and i wonder if the paper test itself is hard or i mean online before the actual test itself... rough estimate how long did u learn how to drive -- i know it varies > however can somebody pls give me estimate..thank u again (F) (F)

It took me 7 months till I get my DL. But before that everytime we go out let's say we need to go grocery shopping I always presented myself to drive. I did drove in the Interstate before I took my road test. The examiner didn't require me to do the parallel parking nor U-turn. I guess thats the reason why I passed the road test easily. Just got lucky.

Here is a sample of practice test in Georgia. I don't know what state where you will take your test. Maybe this link can help you. I guess all of the states have something in common with their traffic laws and road signs.

For the written test, just familiarize the road signs and traffic laws.

HI Jonah.

When I have extra time, I usually just play this simulation game for driving and parallel parking here in the i-net. It helps me learn techniques on how to park the right way. With accuracy rate and scores and all that. So by the time you drive in actual, you can apply what you have practiced in this game.

Check this out. Driving Game /Parking Game

Also, since my destination state is Louisiana too, I usually read this Louisiana driver's manual for easy familiarization of the road, traffic rules and regulations. I've driven for a descent duration but I'm really cautious driving in the states since its totally a different scenario.

Check this out too.

Louisiana Driver's Manual

Hope this helps you a lot.

I just got my driver's license last thursday...

Base on my experience, I drove first our tractor...mowing the yard was my practice driving...from there I knew where to turn the steering wheel if I want right backing or left backing...When I can drive straight already my husband let me drive already on the road...at first, kinda zigzag but later on I able to control the steering wheel.

To get ready for the written exam I studied the booklet that I got from DMV where there are some practice questions...Be familiarized with the signs...be able to differentiate what are warning, regulatory and guide signs...Here in ILlinois we have a website where you can practice the exam online and easy compared to books... There two sets of exams, traffic signs and situational questions.

During the road test, my instructor was very nice. I felt very nervous but I was able to follow instructions...When there is a STOP sign, stop before the crosswalk line and move your head to look at your right and left if there are cars coming before you will make a turn...When backing, be sure not to take part of the other lane...and when parking, familiarize on uphill and downhill parking where to point the wheel...

Good luck!!! You can do it!!!
