I am filling out the I-864EZ Affidavit of Support form for my spouses CR-1 visa.

My salary is sufficient to cover the income requirements. Which line of the 1040

tax form do I enter? the AGI? If I'm filing a joint return I should take out her

portion of the income from the calculation right?

I got the IRS tax transcripts for the year 2006 and 2007 already but still need

the 2008 which is getting delayed because of the additional work required to

make a joint return and get a W7 for my spouse.

Is a photocopy of my 2008 tax return I submitted sufficient enough even though

the IRS may have not completed processing it yet?

I can include a letter from my employer or recent paystubs if that helps.

i sent photocopies of my tax return papers and no problems ...ONLY your Employment letter should be original , and the form as well , everything else can be a copy

Good Luck

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

Not sure what is a W-7,, but, if submitting a photocopy of a return (rather then the transcript)

instructions state including the W-2 (for you) as you are the guarantor for the AOS.

I used the AGI numbers,, and included a work/income verification letter for good measure.

As in all documentation with these petitions, the more the better. Never seen anyone get an RFE

for too much documentation.

Good Luck,
