Parents Marriage Certificate

Can anyone shed some light on if we can submit a copy of my in-law's marriage certificate that was faxed over? We have everything else except their MC, which we don't want to hold up the initial process of submitting the I-130.

Legible fax copy should be fine.

remember to translate it from Spanish to English in order to avoid a delay.

Remember that once their cases get to NVC if you are going to be their agent you will need the original certificate for the DS-230.

USCIS will accept a fax copy as long as it is clearly readable.

I have a question...when filing for both parents, do you send them in two individual envelopes or can you put them together in one packet provided that you issue two different checks for each one? Thanks guys!

Send them in the same envelope, that way the cases will be linked and will stay together through the whole process. I have seen others who send them in two envelopes and they ended up having one parent being processed faster than the other and two different interview dates.
