Hello,

I just arrived here in Honolulu and would like to know what to do next. I know I have to get marriage liscense at the Department of Health then once i have the liscence, we can get married already. Please tell me what to do next. I want to file for the EAD, the advance parole and adjustment of status. I heard I can file it all together so that I wont have to pay it separately, is that correct? I appreciate your replies.

Thank you.

Thank you.

1. Apply for Social Security card, DO NOT leave the SS office until the application is complete, go to whatever level of supervision is required to find a trained person aware that K-1s ARE eligible for SSNs immediately. Apply in your maiden name exactly as on your passport, do NOT try to change your name...yet

2. Unpack your bags. Get the SSN first.

3, Get married within 90 days

4. File for AOS (and EAD and AP if deisred, they are free if filed at the same time as the AOS)

5. AFTER you have your green card in hand, go to the SS offcie and change your name if you want.

Good luck.
