If you look up that the top of this page, there is a link in the blue menu bar that says Reviews: Embassy/USCIS. Click that then look for the dropdown menu that says Local CIS Office Reviews: I think Dallas, Texas would be the same as Irving...maybe the office moved to Irving. Then click the button Find entries. People have told about their experiences and you can read what they said.

There's no reason to have an employer letter from you. Your wife is supporting you, so they would want to see a letter from her employer to back up the Affidavit of Support if you haven't already sent that in. Normally that would be sent with the application. The interviewer will want to see evidence of your marriage and shared life....photos together, names jointly on bills or bank accounts or leases...things like that.

We had our interview in Irving. (used to be Dallas) It's a brand new building, and VERY busy. Expect to wait in a crowded waiting room. ;) I wrote a nice long review that you can read at the link above.

My advice is to bring more than you think you need. Bring everything on the list on your interview letter. Chances are they won't ask to see it-but you will feel better being prepared. Bring copies too.

I set off the metal detector there, it must be really sensitive. Have no idea why, but it didn't help me feel less nervous to get wanded. Was all fine though. :D

Good luck and keep us posted!

My husband was not working at the time of our interview either. I'm the USC, so I brought a letter from my employer. You should be fine on that.
