hello everyone,am a lil confused on what to do with the kind of situation am in.I filled for k1 visa about 4months ago.My fiancee is a Ghanaian living in Uk illegally under a different name for about 2 years now. My question is how do he get a police clearance if they ask him to bring a police clearance from Uk?? This is very complicated but has anyone been through this kind of situation before or does anyone know what is going to happen?? Even if he he could get the police clearance from Uk, he cannot show it to consulate in Ghana because he is under a diff name.please i need help on what to do. Thanks in advance

Well, this is very complicated. More so because he's firstly in the UK illegally you say, and secondly because he has a different name? What does that mean a different name? An alias? Something that's a bit different, like spelling? Or a whole different name? Did he obtain the name legally? Does he have a passport and if so in what name? :blink: What name did you file the 129F under??

I can't tell you what will happen from the UK side, but I know the US won't care about him being illegal in the UK. Make sure you put the name he currently goes under in the part of the visa forms where it says "also known as/ other names". As to the UK police cert, when I got mine from Ireland, there was a space to fill in other names, maybe there is something similar in the UK version?

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
